LeBron James had 29 points (10-of-22 FGs, 5-of-6 FTs), 13 rebounds, six assists, three steals, one block and four three-pointers in the Lakers’ 112-108 victory over the Rockets in Game 3 on Friday.

With the Lakers shorthanded to begin the playoffs, LeBron has been nothing short of excellent in the first three games. James is averaging 25.3 points, 9.7 rebounds and 8.7 assists in this series. With the Lakers trailing and less than 25 seconds remaining in regulation, the 41-year-old small forward got a steal and a game-tying three-pointer. Then the Lakers stole Game 3 in overtime. They’ll have a chance to complete a sweep in Game 4 on Sunday.

Joel Embiid

Embiid played 34 minutes in Game 4 on Sunday, and he should play a similar role in what is a win-or-go-home game for the 76ers. He contributed 26 points, 10 rebounds and six assists in Game 4’s blowout loss. Embiid will need to be far more efficient for the 76ers to keep their season alive.

Huerter has been dealing with a hip injury, but an adductor issue has landed him on the injury report ahead of Game 5. Huerter’s vacated minutes may largely be absorbed by Duncan Robinson, who can also provide floor spacing and knock down triples.

Franz Wagner

ESPN’s Shams Charania reports that Franz Wagner has been diagnosed with a right calf strain, and his status for Game 5 against the Pistons on Wednesday is uncertain.

Wagner left Game 4 after only 24 minutes and didn’t return, and Shams notes that his availability will depend on his response to treatment. Wagner’s absence opened the door for Jamal Cain to log meaningful minutes, and Cain played a vital, fourth-quarter role in the Magic’s close victory. If Wagner is unable to take the court, Cain will likely be in line for expanded run, but Anthony Black and Tristan da Silva would be candidates for extra minutes, too.

Austin Reaves

According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, Austin Reaves (oblique) and the Lakers are optimistic that he will return for Game 5 on Wednesday against the Rockets.

Reaves was a game-time decision in Games 3 and 4, but this latest update from Shams bodes well for Reaves’ return. With the Lakers looking to close out the series and move on to face the Thunder, Reaves’ return could come at just the right time.

Julius Randle

MIN Forward-Center #30

Julius Randle had 27 points (8-of-15 FGs, 9-of-11 FTs), nine rebounds, six assists, one steal and two three-pointers in Monday’s Game 5 loss to the Nuggets.

With the Timberwolves missing multiple starters, Randle stepped up with 27 points and six assists in Game 5. Still, it wasn’t enough to close out the Nuggets on their home floor Monday. Randle and the Timberwolves will head home for Game 6 on Thursday, which could be their best chance to win the series.

Spencer Jones

DEN Forward #21

Spencer Jones had 20 points (7-of-9 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), three rebounds, one assist, three steals and four three-pointers in Monday’s Game 5 win over the Timberwolves.

Jones averaged just 5.5 points during the regular season and was yet to make his mark on these playoffs. In Games 3 and 4, he had six points in 53 minutes combined. With Aaron Gordon (calf) out for Game 5, Jones moved into the starting lineup and had 20 points in 37 minutes. Regardless of Gordon’s status, if Jones can somehow sustain this level of play, it would be a huge development for the Nuggets.

Jamal Murray

DEN Guard #27

Jamal Murray had 24 points (9-of-23 FGs, 4-of-4 FTs), four rebounds, seven assists, four steals and two three-pointers in Monday’s Game 5 win over the Timberwolves.

Murray and the Nuggets lost the second half of Game 4 by 20 points even with the Timberwolves missing multiple starters. Denver was able to turn the page in Game 5. Murray had 24 points, seven assists and four steals in the win. The Nuggets will have to win Game 6 on the road to keep their season alive on Thursday.

Nikola Jokić

DEN Center #15

Nikola Jokić had 27 points (9-of-15 FGs, 8-of-10 FTs), 12 rebounds, 16 assists, two blocks and one three-pointer in the Nuggets’ 125-113 victory over the Timberwolves in Game 5 on Monday.

With their backs against the wall facing elimination at home in Game 5, the Nuggets finally punched back in this series. Jokić bounced back after a rough second half in Game 4 to record a triple-double with 27 points as Denver took Game 5 by 12 points. Jokić and the Nuggets will have their work cut out for them on the road in Game 6 on Thursday.

Devin Booker

PHX Guard #1

Devin Booker had 24 points (8-of-16 FGs, 7-of-9 FTs), six assists, one block and one three-pointer in Monday’s Game 4 loss to the Thunder.

Booker rebounded in the second half, but had just two points and five turnovers in 19 minutes in the first half. The Suns trailed by eight at halftime and would go on to lose by nine, which was the closest margin of the series. For much of the series, Booker was stymied by the Thunder defense and it led to a quick exit for the Suns in these playoffs.
