  • SF Running Back #23

McCaffrey dealt with an illness that limited his practice participation this week. He was removed from the injury report Friday before being added back and listed as questionable Saturday with a bak injury. It is unclear when the new ailment surfaced. Late-week additions to the injury report are never something fantasy managers want to see, also leading to a significant decision in the first week of fantasy playoffs considering the 49ers don’t play until the afternoon Sunday. McCaffrey will remain a top tier RB1 if active against the Titans. Fantasy managers might want to hedge by grabbing Brian Robinson off of waivers, if available. ESPN’s Adam Schefter later followed up the report by saying McCaffrey will go “good to go” Sunday.
  • TB Wide Receiver #13
It may not have been the most efficient outing for Evans, but when you consider it was the first time on the field for the future Hall of Famer since Week 7, it’s an incredibly impressive performance. The 32-year-old worked the sideline for most of the contest, and showed he’s still as good as it gets at jump balls with a 45-yard snag. Evans is far from a lock to put up these kind of numbers each week, but clearly the connection with Baker Mayfield is going to make these kind of outings possible. The Panthers are next in Week 16.
  • ATL Tight End #8
Three touchdowns from Kyle Pitts? In this economy? This was a remarkable effort from the tight end in what has been an impressive — if frustrating (until Thursday) because of the lack of scores — campaign. The Buccaneers simply had no answer for him, and the Falcons lack of other competent targets sans Bijan Robinson provided the volume. He’s now up to four scores on the season, and he’ll have a chance to add to that total with Kirk Cousins clearly feeling confident in feeding him as often as possible against the Cardinals in Week 16.
  • CHI Wide Receiver #15
Odunze missed Week 14’s game after failing to practice once throughout the week. A limited session today puts him on track to return to the lineup, but the Bears’ staff will undoubtedly want to see how he responds in practice over the next two days before giving him the green light. If active, a banged-up Odunze will be relegated to the fantasy WR3 ranks on a run-heavy Chicago offense. Luther Burden will continue to operate as the team’s top wideout if Odunze is held out versus the Browns.
  • DAL Wide Receiver #3
Pickens reverted to the low-effort Pittsburgh version of himself in Week 14’s loss to the Lions, giving up on routes and appearing generally disinterested in the proceedings. Pickens had just 37 yards on nine targets against Detroit. “We talked a little bit about it,” Schottenheimer said Monday. “In his words, he said, ‘Hey Schotty, I didn’t play my best game.’ I think that, unfortunately, none of us played our best game. But again, I don’t worry about George and his love for football and playing this game. You know, for five or six weeks, he was the talk of the sporting world. ‘Look at George Pickens.’ We didn’t coach or play well enough to win that game in Detroit. They beat us. It is what it is.” Hopefully Pickens gives better effort in Week 15 against a Minnesota secondary that has been burned on deep throws for much of the season. He’ll be a top-12 fantasy option, and a top seven or eight option if CeeDee Lamb (concussion) is out.
  • KC Tight End #87
Kelce’s night looks bad enough on paper before you realize two of Patrick Mahomes’ incompletions when targeting the veteran tight end were drops. Additionally, Kelce bobbled a pass on the team’s penultimate possession that was picked off by Azeez Al-Shaair with under four minutes remaining and down by a touchdown. That would allow the Texans to run down the clock to under 30 seconds after kicking a field goal to go up by 10. The loss drops the Chiefs to 6-7 with only a 16 percent chance of making the playoffs. Kelce will be needed in a must-win showdown with the Chargers in Week 15.
  • KC Quarterback #15
This will be one to forget for Mahomes and the Chiefs as multiple aspects of their game plan came crashing down in a must-win game. The loss drops the Chiefs to 6-7 and advanced odds now give them a measly 16 percent chance to make the postseason. Minutes after C.J. Stroud set the benchmark for consecutive incompletions this season with nine, Mahomes followed it up with 10 straight passes without a completion in the second half. Two of those were key interceptions while both Rashee Rice and Travis Kelce were charged with two drops during the streak. The 10 straight incompletions were also a career-worst for Mahomes, it was only the third time in his career where the Chiefs were shutout in a half, and it was only the fourth game in his career with three or more interceptions. The Chiefs must quickly lick their wounds ahead of a showdown with the Chargers in Week 15.
  • LA Running Back #23
The Rams did whatever they wanted on the ground against the low-effort Cardinals defense. Williams averaged 6.5 yards per carry and Blake Corum went for 128 yards and two touchdowns on 12 carries in an easy win for LA. Williams showed no ill effects from the ankle injury that cost him some practice time last week. He ran 19 routes to 12 routes for Corum. Williams’ weekly workload is firmly capped as long as Corum is healthy; he doesn’t have more than 14 carries in a game since early November. Williams will be a somewhat touchdown-reliant RB2 play in Week 15 against Detroit.
  • ARI Wide Receiver #14
With Marvin Harrison, Jr. sidelined with a heel injury, Wilson resumed his role as dominant WR1, easily leading the Cardinals in receiving yards, targets, receptions, and air yards. It was his third game of more than 100 receiving yards over the team’s past four games and the first time he’s scored a touchdown since Week 2 against the Panthers. Wilson got open time and again on the boundary and over the middle of the field. Averaging 12 air yards per target, Wilson had an astounding nine first-down receptions against LA. The hope for now (among Wilson fantasy managers) is that the Cardinals realize Wilson is the team’s best wideout even with MHJ is on the field. If Harrison returns to action in Week 15 against the Texans, Wilson would be a WR3 with upside. If MHJ is out, Wilson will be a top-12 option.
  • PIT Running Back #30
Warren’s eight carries led the Pittsburgh backfield, as Kenneth Gainwell had four rushes for 15 yards and a touchdown. Gainwell was second on the team with six targets, but it was Warren who had a 38-yard screen pass touchdown in the second half. Warren remains the nominal lead back for the run-first Steelers, but Gainwell’s route running involvement and his red zone usage puts a damper on Warren’s weekly upside. Warren, averaging 13.8 rushes per game, will be a top-24 running back next week against the Dolphins.
