Jalen Green played 30 minutes in Wednesday’s 111-91 win over the Grizzlies, amassing 34 points (13-of-26 FGs, 5-of-5 FTs), two rebounds, four assists, one steal, and three 3-pointers.
After struggling in the first half, making three of 10 shots from the field, Green went off in the second half. He scored 26 points after the intermission, helping the Rockets pull away from the Grizzlies in the first matchup between the two teams since Dillon Brooks (13/5/1/1 in 27 minutes) left Memphis for Houston during free agency. Included in Green’s 26-point explosion was a filthy poster dunk on reigning Defensive Player of the Year Jaren Jackson Jr. Green’s fantasy value remains incredibly low, as he’s ranked outside the top 200 in 9-cat per-game value, and outside the top 250 over the last two weeks. Hopefully, this performance serves as a much-needed catalyst.
