Minshew needs additional testing, but the injury indeed looked serious when the quarterback got rolled up on the final play of the Chiefs’ opening drive. The 29-year-old spent another quarter trying to play through it before finally admitting defeat. Minshew was wildly ineffective in doing so. We should have final word on his status by Monday afternoon. Chris Oladokun is the next man up for Thursday’s game against the Broncos.

After a few low-volume weeks, McMillan was back to double-digit target volume against the Buccaneers. He operated as the team’s lead wideout and saw multiple end zone targets. Bryce Young was able to find McMillan to convert on one of those end zone targets for a 22-yard score at the end of the first half. Coming off foot/ankle injuries from this past week, McMillan was not hampered by the issues and finishes with 73 receiving yards on his ten targets. He profiles as a fantasy WR2 for Week 17 against the Seahawks.

Olave over the past two weeks has turned his air yards domination into actual fantasy production, which is nice. Tyler Shough, who had 308 yards on the day, targeted Olave relentlessly from start to finish against a Jets secondary that has been shredded in recent weeks. Olave caught one touchdown from Shough and one from 35-year-old gadget player Taysom Hill, who functioned as the centerpiece of the Saints offense for some reason. Olave’s domination of targets and air yards in the New Orleans offense gives him weekly top-10 upside. He’ll get the Titans in Week 17.

McCarthy left Week 16’s game with a right hand injury and did not return. The fact that he was ruled out so quickly led many to believe he suffered a broken bone in his throwing hand. Per Goessling, McCarthy was spotted in a fingerless glove in the locker room after the game. He will undergo more testing on Monday. It sounds like he has a real chance of suiting up in Week 17 against the Lions. If he can’t, Max Brosmer will make another start.

Shough also had a touchdown called back on a holding penalty. He had no issues picking apart the New York secondary, at one point completing nine straight passes. Though he appeared to sustain an ankle injury in the fourth quarter, Shough was relatively un-pressured against a soft Jets front seven. Shough fed Chris Olave from start to finish. Olave easily led all Saints pass catchers with 16 targets and nearly came down with a few downfield shots from Shough, including a near touchdown in the first half. Shough profiles as a solid streaming play for Week 17 against a weak Titans secondary.

Young put together a solid performance in helping the Panthers take the NFC South lead. The first half was slow, but he finally got it going in the two minute drill. Young found Tetairoa McMillan for a 22-yard score to give the Panthers the lead heading into half time. He escaped pressure and scrambled for rushes in the third quarter, eventually scrambling to find Ja’Tavion Sanders for a six-yard touchdown. The final scoring drive that led to a go-ahead Panthers field goal was Young’s 12th career game-winning drive in the fourth quarter or overtime. Both touchdown drives and the final field goal drive were to give Carolina the lead. Young is putting together a nice season with the Panthers potentially playoff-bound; he is a QB2 in a tough matchup against the Seahawks for Week 17.

Hall had another inefficient outing, as the Jets managed just 195 total yards against an aggressive Saints defense that sacked QB Brady Cook seven times. Isaiah Davis had three carries as the team’s RB2 while catching all four of his targets for 52 yards. Hall led Davis in routes out of the backfield 22 to 17. Hall, who now has one touchdown over his past seven games, has only exceeded 60 rushing yards six times in 2025. Hall will be a shaky flex play without much upside in Week 17 against the Patriots.

He won a couple of sideline go balls against the weak Dallas secondary, one for a spectacular one-handed touchdown, and another for a 50-yard gain early in the third quarter. The Chargers’ passing game is so spread around that it’s hard to get excited about anyone, but Johnston became the first Chargers receiver since Antonio Gates to have back-to-back seasons with eight or more touchdowns. It sure seems like Johnston will be low on the WR3 line against the Texans in Week 17.

Pickens’ big blow was a 38-yard go ball touchdown from Dak Prescott to put the Cowboys at 17 points. Clearly doubled at times in the red zone, the Chargers were willing to get beat elsewhere. Pickens had some incredible downfield catches, including a fourth-down conversion early in the game. He’ll be on the WR1 line against the Commanders in Week 17.
