According to Schefter, Rice will be present and participate in all activities. The second-year receiver has had a tumultuous offseason since winning the Super Bowl with the Chiefs back in February. In addition to being involved in a hit-and-run and charged with two felonies, Rice is also under investigation for assaulting a photographer at a nightclub earlier this month. Rice posted a receiving line of 79-938-7 during his rookie campaign and averaged 72.1 yards per game over his final eight regular season contests. What should have been an exciting 2024 for Rice has gotten off on the wrong foot, as he’s likely facing some sort of suspension from the league once his legal issues are fully sorted out. Assuming he misses some time, an early selection of Rice in fantasy could make for a risky selection this season.
  • FA Running Back #23
Penny spent last season with the Eagles, appearing in three games and getting 11 carries for 33 yards. His role was reduced in the Philly backfield after spending five seasons with the Seahawks. Penny visited his former team with a chance to rejoin a backfield that looks different from his last stint in Seattle. If Penny does join the Seahawks, he would back up Kenneth Walker and Zach Charbonnet as a depth piece.
  • BAL Quarterback #8
Jackson earned 49-of-50 first-place votes to take home his second MVP award in the last five seasons. In a year that saw the Ravens signal-caller demand a trade while in the midst of contract demands, things couldn’t have gone much better for Jackson in 2023. After he and the team finally came to terms on a five-year, $260 million contract extension, Jackson and the Ravens got to work on what they hoped would be a Super Bowl run. While they came up just short in the postseason, Jackson still managed to throw for 3678-24-7 in his first season under Todd Monken, setting career-highs in both passing yards and completion percentage (67.2 percent). Jackson added another 821 yards and five scores on the ground, eclipsing the 800-yard plateau for the third time in his six-year career, all while helping the Ravens to a 13-4 regular season record. In a game that Monken would almost certainly like to have back, Jackson and the Ravens flamed out in the AFC Championship Game against the Chiefs to miss a trip to the Super Bowl. Still, Jackson has a regular season record of 58-19 as the Ravens starter, with his .721 winning percentage ranking as the sixth-highest in league history amongst qualified quarterbacks (min. 60 games). At only 27 years old and in the prime of his career, a third MVP award is very much in reach for Jackson in the coming years.
