Raleigh will head to Triple-A Tacoma next week before potentially making it back to Seattle at some point around mid-June. The 29-year-old slugging backstop has been on the shelf recovering from a right oblique strain since mid-May. It was his first-ever trip to the injured list during his six-year career. There’s stil plenty of time for him to turn things around in the second half following a slow start to the year at the dish.
  • AZ Starting Pitcher #39
Lovullo added that Burnes suffered a teres major strain in his shoulder during a recent live batting practice session and is unlikely to return until September following the setback. The 31-year-old former fantasy ace, who was working his way back from last year’s Tommy John surgery, was on track to return to Arizona’s rotation sometime around next month’s All-Star break. It’s an extremely tough development for the Diamondbacks and fantasy managers that were stashing Burnes for a potential second-half impact. There should be a clearer return timetable once he’s cleared to resume throwing.
  • KC 3rd Baseman #11
Garcia remains sidelined for the fourth consecutive contest due to a hamstring strain that he suffered last weekend. The 26-year-old remains in a bit of a holding pattern as the Royals have held off on sending him to the injured list for now. There’s a chance he’s ready to return at some point during the club’s upcoming four-game series against the Twins. Fantasy managers should still consider him day-to-day.
  • SEA 1st Baseman #12
Naylor returns to first base and hitting third following a one-game absence due to back spasms earlier this week. The 28-year-old power/speed combo threat is hitting .254/.317/.357 with six homers, 25 RBI and 12 steals in 57 games this season.
  • NYY Right Fielder #99
Yankees manager Aaron Boone didn’t have an update while speaking to reporters prior to Wednesday’s game. This hardly qualifies as a surprise with Judge scheduled to see a specialist on Wednesday to evaluate the bone bruise in his rib cage that has led to shoulder soreness for a couple weeks. There should be some much-needed clarity on his status, including whether he’ll require a trip to the injured list. José Caballero will start in right field again with Ryan McMahon at third base and Paul Goldschmidt at designated hitter.
  • ATH Starting Pitcher
Jump, who gave up four runs in five innings against the Mariners in his first MLB start, allowed just three hits with his average fastball up to 96.9 mph tonight. It was 95.9 mph in his first start and 95.8 mph in Triple-A this season. In spite of that, he still only generated five whiffs on 45 swings. Jump still seems like a tough play in mixed leagues at the moment. He’ll face the Astros on the road on Sunday.
  • NYY Right Fielder #99
Boone added that Judge remains day-to-day after imaging revealed a bone bruise in his right rib cage that was leading to lingering shoulder soreness for the last couple weeks. The 34-year-old generational talent sat out his first game of the season during Tuesday’s loss to the Guardians. It doesn’t sound like he’s headed to the injured list at this juncture. A clearer update on his status should come later this week.
  • BOS Starting Pitcher #35
It’s an encouraging development that imaging didn’t reveal any structural damage in Crochet’s shoulder after he was shut down from throwing over the weekend due to lat tightness. The 26-year-old fantasy ace will remain without a definitive return timeline until he’s cleared to begin a throwing progression. It seems highly unlikely that he’ll make it back until after next month’s All-Star break given the nature of the injury and how much time he’ll need to build up his arm strength and pitch count from ground zero.
  • ATL Catcher #30
Baldwin hit the injured list with a low-grade right oblique strain back on May 19. The 25-year-old rising star, who was hitting .303/.389/.543 with 13 homers and 38 RBI in 48 games prior to the injury, is on track to return to Atlanta’s lineup at some point during their next homestand, which runs from June 16-21. His return should provide a significant boost for the Braves and fantasy managers alike, as he’s delivered first-round value this season.
  • NYY Right Fielder #99
Yankees manager Aaron Boone told reporters Judge, who is out of the lineup for Tuesday’s series opener against the Guardians, will meet with team doctors to determine his next steps after imaging revealed a bone bruise in his ribs that is leading to shoulder discomfort. He also revealed that Judge has been dealing with the issue for some time, but it worsened over the weekend. The hope is that some additional rest will resolve the lingering issue. A trip to the injured list does not appear imminent, but this remains a developing situation. Further clarity on Judge’s status should emerge as the week progresses.
