He’ll continue to play a significant role for New Orleans for the remainder of the season, and while he may not have more performances like this, he should be considered a must-roster player.

However, it wasn’t enough to get the Lakers back into the win column, with the team dropping a third straight game. A top-15 player in eight-cat formats over the past two weeks, according to Basketball Monster, Dončić remains one of the best players to roster in fantasy basketball. The question now is whether he’ll be able to do enough to make the Lakers a credible threat in the West come playoff time.

Durant went nuclear in this game, setting new season highs for both scoring and shot attempts in the win. Since the All-Star break, KD has averaged 27.3 points, 5.8 rebounds, 5.8 assists and three triples per game, and he has shot at least 50 percent from the floor in each of his last three games. He’ll look to stay hot in Miami on Saturday to wrap up the week.

Markkanen injured his hip and ankle in practice on Wednesday, but it’s the hip that will force him to miss time. He underwent an MRI that “showed symptomatic hip impingement with associated inflammation and bone bruise.” He’ll miss at least eight games, though he could certainly remain out longer. John Konchar is starting in his place on Thursday.

The reigning MVP is officially back after missing nine games with an abdominal strain. While he’s likely to be under a minutes restriction, SGA’s return likely means that Isaiah Joe will come off the bench after starting Oklahoma City’s last three games. Cason Wallace’s fantasy value will also take a hit, but he should remain in the starting five due to Jalen Williams’ continued absence.

Initially questionable for Thursday’s game with a sore left ankle, Leonard will not be available. His absence leaves a massive hole in the Clippers’ starting lineup. While Nicolas Batum is a potential replacement in the starting lineup, his fantasy value is minimal at best. Bennedict Mathurin stands to be the primary scoring option, but he’s already rostered in most leagues.
