Perhaps you’re wondering which part of St. Brown’s game was most impactful for the Lions, and the answer was simply “all of it” because it’s hard to not have all of it when you nearly come up with half (18-of-41) of Jared Goff’s targets. St. Brown delivered two red zone scores, was the key read on most of the game’s third or fourth downs, and most importantly looked healthy the whole way through after Thanksgiving’s ankle scare. St. Brown will be a clear WR1 against the Steelers in Week 16.
  • BAL Quarterback #8
Jackson missed Thursday’s practice due to an ankle injury, but was back on the field on Friday. He was removed from the team’s final injury report and will be good to go in a pivotal AFC North matchup against the Steelers in a game that will decide the division leader heading into Week 15. Jackson has struggled since returning from injury. He’s thrown just one touchdown pass to three interceptions over his last four games and is averaging 21.0 rushing yards per game over that span. Jackson is a low-end QB1 against the Steelers this week.
  • DET Running Back #0
All three of Gibbs’ scores came on the ground, but Gibbs was largely bottled up on the ground. Gibbs saw 19 of his 43 rushing yards come on a 19-yard run in the first quarter, but the versatile speedster ripped off 77 yards through the air while hauling in all seven of his targets. Gibbs’ third and final touchdown on the day, which officially put the game out of reach, gave him 47 for his career, tying hall of famers Barry Sanders and Randy Moss for the most touchdowns by a player before they turn 24. Gibbs doesn’t turn 24 until March and is on pace to shatter that record. It’s possible he’ll stand alone in that category next week when he faces the Rams in Week 15, where he will be a high-end RB1.
  • DET Wide Receiver #14
St. Brown was unable to practice this week after injuring his ankle last Thursday against the Packers. While he possesses some re-injury risk, he was moving very well during warmups and should be started against the Cowboys this evening. The Lions declared S Kerby Joseph, WR Kalif Raymond, OG Kayode Awosika, TE Hayden Rucci, DL Mekhi Wingo and DL Tyler Lacy inactive for Week 14 against the Cowboys. Lions RT Penei Sewell (shoulder), LT Taylor Decker (shoulder/rest) and C Graham Glasgow (knee) are active.
  • Simmons had surgery on his injured wrist and will miss at least a month, making a postseason return possible if the Chiefs finish the season strong and sneak into the playoffs. The loss of Simmons is significant for Patrick Mahomes and the KC offense: Pro Football Focus grades Simmons 21st in pass blocking out of 85 qualifying tackles this season.
  • CAR Quarterback #9
Panthers coaches and front office officials “still believe in” Young despite his ups and downs this season, including a Week 13 meltdown against a weak Niners defense. Young finished the 2024 season on a hot streak after being benched early that season, but started 2025 with baffling decision making and poor throws both in the short areas and downfield. On the season Young ranks 21st out of 33 qualifying quarterbacks in drop back success rate and 30th out of 40 quarterbacks in yards per attempt. Graziano said he expects the Panthers to keep Young around in 2026 “because the cost will be reasonable (around $26.5 million), but then the question becomes what to do after that.”
  • DET Wide Receiver #14
He added that if St. Brown can possibly play, he will. And since he also ruled out fellow wideout Kalif Raymond in this presser, it sounds like there is a non-zero chance that St. Brown plays against the Cowboys on Thursday. St. Brown would later speak to reporters and say that his status for Thursday is “up in the air.” We would still regard him as on the pessimistic side of questionable given the two missed practices, but the Lions look like they’ll take this up to inactives.
  • DET Wide Receiver #14
Most reporting has this as a 1-2 week injury, so it would be surprising if St. Brown were able to get active for Thursday night’s game against the Cowboys but not exactly unprecedented. A Monday DNP definitely puts him on the wrong side of active, though. If St. Brown misses the game, Jameson Williams will be in a smash role as the only volume pass-catcher the Lions have available.
  • DET Wide Receiver #14
Rapoport deemed it a “1-2 week injury,” yet adds that St. Brown will “push to play.” St. Brown regularly plays through injuries, so it would be unsurprising to see him out there next Thursday against the Cowboys. The team could handle it conservatively by keeping him sidelined for the recommended recovery window, though. Stay tuned.
  • NO Running Back #41
Kamara’s Week 13 absence is unfortunate. The team does not plan to place him on injured reserve, so he should theoretically return in fewer than four games. Assuming Saints rookie RB Devin Neal (ankle) is cleared to play, he gets a chance to strut his stuff against a fantasy-friendly Dolphins run defense this weekend, allowing 5.0 yards per carry to opponents.
