  • SEA Center Fielder #44
Personalize your Rotoworld feed by favoriting players
Not only did Rodríguez get his first homer of the season with a 426-foot tank to center, it was a big one as it tied the game at 7-7. He also doubled for his first multi extra-base hit game of the season. Rodríguez has been a notorious — maybe the most notorious — slow starter in baseball, but there’s simply no denying that he’s among the best talented players regardless of position. Cal Raleigh also homered, and it appears the big boys for Seattle are starting to pick it up.
  • LAD Starting Pitcher #17
Ohtani blistered a solo homer leading off the game for the Dodgers to tie the score at 1-1. The 31-year-old has now homered four times in 13 games, which puts him just a smidgen under a 54-homer pace. For many hitters, that’s unsustainable. For Ohtani, it’s just another season. He also pitches. It’s pretty fun to watch, honestly.
  • HOU Shortstop #3
Peña was unable to continue after advancing on a single in the fourth inning, and was replaced by Nick Allen. The 28-year-old will almost assuredly undergo testing, and his status for the upcoming two games against the Mariners and beyond will largely be determined by those results. If Peña misses time, Allen will likely see that time at shortstop.
  • CLE 3rd Baseman #11
That’s more like it. Ramírez has not had an effective first two weeks of the season, but Saturday was a very friendly reminder — to everyone but Atlanta and those facing him in fantasy leagues — of how silly it is to worry. His homer is the second of the season, while the steals double his total from two to four. The perennial MVP candidate is still hitting just .175/.277/.333, but it’s just a matter of time until those numbers sky rocket.
  • BAL Catcher #35
Rutschman was scratched from the lineup Saturday by the Orioles with soreness in his ankle, and Baltimore won’t play short-handed. Assuming no structural damage there’s a good chance Rutschman is back soon, but for now, Samuel Basallo will be the everyday backstop with Maverick Handley up to back Basallo up.
  • SD Right Fielder #23
It will be the first time that Tatis starts at second base. The 27-year-old is a former shortstop and plenty athletic, so it shouldn’t be too difficult a transition; even if there are some growing pains. Nick Castellanos will be the right fielder, Jake Cronenworth will handle shortstop and Xander Bogaerts is on the bench to begin Saturday’s game.
  • TOR Right Fielder #4
Springer, who was DHing today, fouled a ball off his foot in his second at-bat and then didn’t come back out for his third. The Jays quickly announced that his toe was fractured, so he’ll likely miss at least a few weeks. This could get Eloy Jiménez back to the majors; after a nice spring, he’s hit .281/.368/.406 through 10 games in Triple-A. If the Jays don’t want to make room on their 40-man roster, their only option would be to call up Jonatan Clase. In that case, Davis Schneider and Myler Straw could share Springer’s at-bats. Straw replaced him today.
  • NYM Relief Pitcher #46
The move is now official. Kimbrel was in Mets camp as a non-roster invitee this spring and will arrive in New York prior to Saturday’s game against the Athletics after spending a couple weeks in the minors. The 37-year-old veteran figures to pitch in middle relief situation considering his days as a flame-throwing closer are long gone. He made 14 appearances between the Braves and Astros last year. His last big-league save, the 440th of his career, came with the Orioles back in 2024.
  • TOR Starting Pitcher #31
Blue Jays manager John Schneider confirmed Scherzer is ready to take the ball and won’t have any restrictions from a workload standpoint following an abbreviated 36-pitch outing against the Dodgers earlier this week due to forearm tendinitis. It’s tough for fantasy managers to completely trust the 41-year-old veteran’s health at this advanced stage of his career, but it’s a tasty matchup, which makes him worth streaming, even in shallow leagues.
  • AZ Right Fielder #7
Carroll returns to Arizona’s lineup at DH following a two-game absence due to left hip soreness. It’s an extremely encouraging development for the Diamondbacks, and fantasy managers, that the issue hasn’t required a trip to the injured list. The 25-year-old fantasy superstar is off to an excellent start at the dish, slashing .333/.408/.690 with eight extra-base hits, including two homers, 11 RBI and one steal through 12 games.
