The St. Louis Blues are getting caught up with an old acquaintance.

According to TSN’s Darren Dreger, the Blues have signed forward Jori Lehtera out of the KHL. He was a third-round pick by the Blues in 2008 but has spent the past four seasons in the KHL with Yaroslavl Lokomotiv and Novosibirsk Sibir. He also represented Finland at the 2014 Winter Olympics.

Per Fox Sports’ Andy Strickland, it’s a two-year deal worth $5.5 million (a $2.25M annual cap hit).

Last season Novosibirsk, Lehtera had 12 goals and 44 points in 48 games. He’ll provide the Blues with depth at forward and will be playing in North America for the first time since the 2008-09 season.
