Kopitar feels good about being up 3-2 in the series
After watching the Kings drop two games in a row, some think they’re reeling in the Stanley Cup finals. After all, the New Jersey Devils have put things together to rally and make it more of a series.
Kings forward Anze Kopitar looks at things a bit differently saying there’s no chance that doubt is creeping into their minds.
“Yeah, I mean, we’re still in obviously a really good spot,” Kopitar said. “If somebody would have told us that we were going to go up 3-2 going home to have the chance to close it out, I think everybody would sign that paper. It’s just a matter of going out there and getting it done.”
Executing is something the Kings have struggled with the last two games. The turnovers are there as are the frustrating penalties. A little bad luck and the talk of distractions hasn’t helped matters, but the truth is, all the talk goes away if L.A. wraps it up tomorrow.
