  • LAC Running Back #30
On an online stream by Ekeler, he stated that there is a “long time between now and Monday Night Football vs the Cowboys, so expecting to be back by then for sure.” Ekeler has been out the last three weeks with an ankle injury, practicing in a limited capacity last week before being declared out. A Week 5 bye will give Ekeler time to rest and return for a Week 6 MNF matchup against the Cowboys.
  • LAR Wide Receiver #10
McVay explained Kupp is listed as limited on the team’s injury report, adding “it says limited, he’s not going to be limited.” Kupp will go through a normal practice despite his limited designation on Wednesday. He was placed on injured reserve with a hamstring injury prior to the Week 1 and just had his 21-day practice window opened by the Rams. McVay’s comments indicate Kupp is pretty much at a full-go in practice, boding well for his Week 5 status. Kupp will likely be eased into games, but Puka Nacua’s fantasy value takes a hit with Kupp’s return.
  • DEN Wide Receiver #10
Jeudy was removed from Denver’s injury report prior to Week 4’s game against the Bears. There was no indication of Jeudy tweaking his knee in the game, but he is back as a limited participant this week. The Broncos are likely lightening his workload in the early-week practice, so no cause for concern yet. Barring a drastic change with his knee, expect Jeudy to play in Week 5.
  • PHI Defensive Tackle #91
Cox has been experiencing discomfort in his back over the past couple weeks. The epidural injection procedure he underwent this week aims to decrease the pain with the expectation that he will miss not more than one game, if any. If he cannot go in Week 5 against the Rams, Cox expects to return Week 6 against the Jets.
  • LAR Running Back #23
McVay was quick to mention that the move was precautionary, likely meaning they are simply giving Williams some rest. That likely welcome news for the young running back since he has seen the highest usage rate of any running back in the NFL, including Christian McCaffrey. McVay did say that he expects Williams to play on Sunday against the Eagles.
  • SEA Safety #33
An independent concussion doctor ruled Adams out after he took an accidental knee to the head from Daniel Jones on a scramble. When the concussion doctor ruled him out for the remainder of the game, Adams lost his temper and had to be physically separated from the doctor and escorted off of the field. There’s no word on what the discipline could be but considering Adams didn’t make physical contact with the doctor, a hefty fine figures to be most likely.
  • DET Wide Receiver #14
St. Brown ran every route for the Lions in Week 4, so he seemingly gutted it out through the end of the game despite getting banged up at some point. The hope will be that he can continue to play through the abdomen issue going forward, but that’s far from a given. If he can’t suit up in Week 5, the Lions could throw Jameson Williams, who is coming back from his gambling-related suspension this week, into a full-time role for the jump.
  • IND Running Back #28
Well, if Taylor is not on the field on Sunday, it certainly won’t be because of his ankle. The full participant designation means that Taylor was not limited in any way, which would normally be a near guarantee that a player will play on Sunday. However, there have been multiple reports that the relationship between Taylor and the Colts “remains unsettled,” so his status for Sunday still remains up in the air.
  • NO Quarterback #4
Carr played through a shoulder injury in Week 4, but he and the Saints offense struggled. Head coach Dennis Allen mentioned that Carr was able to throw more on Wednesday and “things look good in terms of where he’s at this week.” The team has to hope that Carr is able to do more this week because he was clearly not healthy on Sunday. He threw a high rate of screen passes, missed several downfield throws, and also fumbled in the fourth quarter. If he’s that limited again, the Patriots defense would make for a good fantasy play.
  • CAR Running Back #6
Sanders was limited in practice on Wednesday and Thursday of last week because of a groin issue but then didn’t practice on Friday. However, he was still able to play in Week 4 and proved to be ineffective, rushing for just 19 yards on 13 carries. With the groin injury still lingering, it’s safe to assume that Sanders will suit up again on Sunday but be less than 100 percent, which should limit his effectiveness against a solid Lions defense. Panthers CB Donte Jackson (shoulder), LB Frankie Luvu (hip), DL DeShawn Williams (elbow) and OL Austin Corbett (knee) were also limited in practice.
