Alex Ovechkin reportedly suffered an injury while working out in Russia. The report suggested that the Capitals sniper suffered a lower-body injury and that he could miss this fall’s World Cup of Hockey.

Of course, Ovechkin denies that these rumors are true.

“At the moment, I continue to prepare for the season, more so this year because we have an early start with the national team,” Ovechkin said on Tuesday, per (quotes have been translated).

“I train in the usual preseason mode in the room and on the ice. I don’t even know where (the reporter) could have received my injury information from.”

And then he sort of proved it with this Instagram post that says: “Do not believe the rumors!!! Preparing”

It sure looks like Ovechkin is fine.
