Ducks score twice in 44 seconds, chase Oilers’ goalie Fasth
This has the makings of another rough night for the Edmonton Oilers, and their frustrated fans.
Viktor Fasth was pulled 51 seconds into the second period of Friday’s game against the Anaheim Ducks, after allowing three goals on 12 shots.
The Ducks opened up a 3-0 lead. Kyle Palmieri gave his team a two-goal cushion on a goal seven seconds into the second period and Ryan Getzlaf increased the lead 44 seconds later. That was all for Fasth. Ben Scrivens entered into the game.
Kyle Palmieri's goal seven seconds into second is the fastest in Ducks history to start any period.— Eric Stephens (@icemancometh) December 13, 2014
Worth pointing out, the Ducks outshot the listless Oilers 10-3 after 20 minutes.
For the Oilers, they have just one win in their last 14 games.
