Naylor is back at first base and hitting cleanup following a brief one-game absence due to a quad contusion. The 28-year-old power/speed combo threat has seemingly turned things around after an ice-cold start to the season, hitting .480 (12-for-25) with one homer and four steals over his last seven games.

Domínguez was officially called up on Monday afternoon, but Giancarlo Stanton (calf) has not yet been placed on the injured list. That clouds the immediate playing time for Domínguez, but the Yankees do face three righties in their series with the Rangers, which should give him enough short-term playing time. However, Anthony Volpe is reportedly set to rejoin the team on Thursday, and Jose Caballero has been heating up at the plate, so the Yankees may need to decide between Domínguez and Ryan McMahon when Volpe returns. That also assumes Stanton eventually goes on the injured list. There are a lot of moving pieces here.

The Mets not only lost both games of Sunday’s doubleheader, but they were swept in the series. Against the Rockies. Yes, those Rockies. Senga now has an ERA of 9.00, and gave up a two-run homer to Hunter Goodman and an RBI single to Troy Johnston to “help” that number go up. Again. He also walked three, struck out just one, and threw 30-of-50 pitches for strikes before being pulled. This isn’t good. The Mets aren’t good. He’s scheduled to face the Angels on Friday.

After going six games without an extra-base hit — a severe drought for someone like Ohtani — the perennial MVP candidate bashed his sixth homer of the season as well as a double. He also drew a walk while improving his slash to .262/.391/.485 with 12 RBI and three steals. Most hitters would sign up for that slash. Most players aren’t Ohtani.

Trevor Megill, Aaron Ashby and Abner Uribe all struck out two in their innings of work, so it was an 18-strikeout, two-hitter for the Brewers. Harrison, who missed a turn 10 days ago and then got just nine outs Tuesday against the Pirates, induced 23 whiffs and allowed just two hard-hit balls in the best outing of his young career. He’s definitely worth rostering in mixed leagues and worth having active for his start against the Nationals next weekend.

Old man Judge’s bat speed is down a bit and his strikeout rate is up some in the early going, and there’s good reason to think he won’t wind up hitting .320-.330 like he did last two years. That said, we’d still take him first overall in a rest-of-season draft. He’s at .230/.369/.560 right now, and he’s also collected five steals. Today’s homer was the 378th of his career, moving him past Norm Cash and Jeff Kent and into a tie with Matt Williams for 77th on the all-time list.

The 37-year-old southpaw allowed just one hit on the afternoon — a two-out single by Trea Turner in the third inning — while issuing two free passes and hitting a batter. The only real threat against him came in the third inning as with two outs he plunked Rafael Marchan, allowed a single to Trea Turner and walked Kyle Schwarber to load the bases. Not to worry though, as he punched out Bryce Harper to quell the threat. Sale got 15 swings and misses on 100 pitches on the day — seven of them on his slider — while posting a CSW of 30 percent. He’ll look to further improve upon his elite 2.31 ERA and 0.91 WHIP when he does battle against the Rockies in Colorado on Saturday.

Torkelson entered play on Wednesday with zero home runs on the season. He now has five after crushing a 421-foot (107.3 mph EV) solo shot off of Sam Moll in the seventh inning on Sunday. He also smacked a pair of doubles in this one, finishing the afternoon 3-for-4 plus a walk. He’s now hitting .236/.364/.472 with five long balls and 12 RBI on the season. He’s worth a look in deeper mixed leagues if any fantasy managers got frustrated and dropped him last week.

Harper picked up his first two RBI of the night on an infield single and a sac fly. The third and fourth came in the 10th inning to break a 4-4 tie and gave Harper 18 runs driven in over the first month of the season. He also drew a walk and is now slashing .270/.357/.527 with six homers over an even 100 at-bats.

Passan reports that the Red Sox also have fired hitting coach Peter Fatse, third base coach Kyle Hudson, bench coach Rámon Vazquez and game-planning coach Jason Varitek. This comes after the Red Sox picked up a 17-1 win over the Orioles on Saturday, but this was likely in the works for a long time. Even with the win, Cora and Boston had just a 10-17 record, and the Red Sox will turn to a new leader in hopes of salvaging the season. Cora has compiled a 619-541 win-loss record while leading Boston to a championship in 2019 over his eight seasons as skipper. An interim manager will be announced after the decision becomes official.
